As a kid growing up in Northern Alberta hockey is a way of life even if you are a sister of a player. From the time my brother could walk he has been on skates, now playing in a senior league...yikes and he is only 37. Every Saturday morning my mom would load us all in the car and drive of to some small town rink for a day of hockey. Those rinks no matter how big or how small the community it becomes the heart of town during the winter.
My cousin shot me an email last night and asked me to vote for Humbolt, SK . Below is an article all about what the buzz is. ReplyDeleteAt 37 I had trouble keeping up to the guys that were over 60, and here i thought i would skate circles around the "oldtimers". They were really kids at heart.
